• No major changes to the map’s appearance for now.1

• No new “city experiences” for Los Angeles or the five other cities pre-announced by Apple (San Diego, New York, Philadelphia, Washington, and London).

• No new map expansions for Italy or Australia.

• On iPad, the “Look Around” icon has been moved to the bottom-right of the screen (instead of the bottom-center).

• Apple has made a handful of small tweaks to “Driving” mode. It has made red traffic darker (making it easier to see), orange traffic slightly lighter, and removed some of the hierarchy for roads (making the map look a little less busy overall):

• Apple has also made a handful of tweaks to “Dark” mode. Some roads are now thicker, water is lighter and less saturated, buildings are darker, and areas of interest are now purple-ish (instead of brown). Together, all of the changes make roads and road labels a little easier to see:

• Similar to “Dark” mode, “Transit” mode has also seen a number of color changes, especially regarding the map’s roads: they’re now grey instead of white, making the map look busier. (I’m not a fan of this change because the roads compete too much with the transit lines now):
