On January 30th, 2020, Apple’s new map expanded to the remaining parts of the Continental U.S., including Alaska and the Central and Southeastern U.S.:
This is the seventh time that Apple has expanded its new map since its public launch in September 2018:

In June 2019, Apple announced that its new map would cover “the entire U.S. by the end of 2019”:
With this latest expansion, Apple’s new map now covers 99.8% of the U.S.’s area...
...and 98.9% of its population:
(As of January 30, 2020, Apple’s new map does not yet cover the U.S.’s territories, including Puerto Rico. These areas contain 1.1% of the U.S. population.)

And it also covers a larger share of the U.S. population than any of the earlier expansions:

...and this latest expansion arrives exactly 500 days after the public launch of Apple’s new map on September 17, 2018:
