After seventy-three days of public testing, Apple’s new map data was expanded to Denmark and Greece on October 13, 2023:

This is the twentieth time Apple has expanded its new map data since its public launch five years ago in September 2018:

After five years of expansions, Apple’s new map data now covers 20.3% of Earth’s land area and 11.8% of the global population (i.e., 940 million people worldwide) across thirty-five countries:

Along with the new map data, Apple has also launched country-wide Look Around coverage and Cycling Directions for both Denmark and Greece.

BEFORE & AFTER

APPLE’S NEXT EXPANSION

As of October 2023, there are just six countries that have been surveyed by Apple but haven’t yet been released as a map expansion: Brazil, India, Japan, Mexico, Thailand, and the U.A.E. Of these six countries, only Mexico and Thailand have had all of their internal regions visited by Apple—so these are the likeliest countries for Apple’s next expansion.
